Genlock (generator locking)

BrightWall for genlock sync

- 1-2 frames out of sync after 90 min. Sync on loop.
- DisplayPort issue. No DisplayPort output on BrightSign.
- MacBook Pro 13 inch early 2013 not supporting 3840x2160. 1920x1080 over HDMI. 2560x1440 over MiniDisplay port to DisplayPort.
- Video Codec: 4K video must be encoded as an H.265 (HEVC) file. Container Format: The following container formats are supported: .ts, .mov, .mp4, .mkv, .webm.
- Supported formats
- Handbrake H.265 3840x2160 29.97fps HEVC works.
- Important that the resolution settings on file is the same as the screen.


1. Encode 4k video to HEVC h.265 with MPEG-4 container
2. Format SD-card using «SD-formatter»
3. Copy "autorun.brs" from MASTER folder and videofile to to master SD-card. Copy "autorun.brs" from CLIENT1 and videofile to client1 sd-card

BrightSign three screen sync with switch


- exFAT (large movie files)
- Same updated firmware on all three. 8.0.91

- Connector type: HDMI
- Screen resolution: 1920x1080x60p

Setup BrightSign Unit
- Standalone, NOT "Networked with Local File Networking"
- Toggle "Use the following IP address"
- ip 192.168.1.245 (246, 247 osv)
- Subnet mask 255.255.255.0
- Gateway 192.168.1.1
- DNS1 8.8.8.8
- DNS2 8.8.4.4

- Publish/write directly to SD card
